Larry and Joyce are dedicated to their dream: making sound wines with aggressive fruit flavors, all the while enjoying the camaraderie of good friends, food, and wine. A diverse array of multi-talented friends endorse this venture by sharing their time, labor, encouragement, and, naturally, their critiques. After a day's hard work, the friends and family of Sleeping Dog gather to  share the fruits of their labor. This fellowship, after all, is the ultimate reason for making wines.

The humans aren't the only ones who feast and celebrate. Aurora and Syrah are always nearby, especially when it comes time to reap the benefits of a hard day's work.

Larry and Joyce first discovered Aurora on the Internet. Finding out that she was slated to be put to sleep the following day, they were compelled to drive 3 hours to meet her. It was love at first site. The Nose returns their love wholeheartedly. Although always willing to strike a pose worthy of the winery's namesake, she's rarely caught sleeping when visitors are around. An obsessive guardian, Aurora maintains a constant vigil over the whole operation--inspecting the vines daily, greeting guests, and in all ways putting her best face forward for Sleeping Dog Wines.
